Halftide — pause, not shame

How it works

You reach for the app. You didn't decide to. It's a reflex, and reflexes are faster than intentions.

Halftide opens first. One breath. A few seconds of nothing. No password, no lock screen, no timer counting down at you.

Then you choose. Go in, or don't. Either one is fine. Halftide doesn't keep score against you, because the point was never obedience — it was the half-second where you get to be the one deciding.

What Halftide will never do

No streaks. Nothing to break, so nothing to give up on at day 41.
No shame notifications. No weekly report telling you that you failed.
No ads, ever. Nobody is paying us for your attention. That's the entire idea.
No selling your data. There is no advertising business here to feed it to.
It works offline. The app is built local-first — it doesn't need the network to do its job.
No trackers on this page. No cookies, no analytics, no ad pixels, no third-party scripts, no fonts phoning home. Open your dev tools and check — the only request this page makes is to our own waitlist, and it neither sends nor stores a cookie.

Where it actually is

Halftide isn't in the App Store yet. It's being built right now, by one person, and I'd rather tell you that than run a countdown timer at you.
